Measles are making a comeback, just in case you didn't know. And it's making a comeback because people choose to not vaccinate their kids.
I want to understand why.
One reason why people are against vaccinations is that there was some now-debunked scientific study that claimed vaccinations caused autism.
Apparently, this is still a reason for not vaccinating.
My question is what is so wrong with having a kid with autism? I don't have a kid with autism. I get that some kids on the spectrum require more care than other kids. So, is that a bad thing? Do these people who want to protect their kids from autism and not death require perfect children? To me, it sure it seems like it. One can only wonder what happens if these children do not live up to their expectations. In a way, it seems like these anti-vaxxers want perfect little children and are too selfish to devote too much time to their autistic children.
I just read an article today that there is a possibility that autism could be caused by air pollution. So there's that.
So if an anti-vaxxer could explain to me why it's not a good idea to vaccinate, I would love to know. And please provide legitimate resources so I can learn. I just have a hard time understanding the anti-vaxx movement. Who are these people? I'd love to know.

I, Too, Need Executive Time- Vote for Me in 2020
My "I want to watch list" on Netflix is a mile long. I've never finished Black Mirror, Haunting of Hill House and The Dark. I haven't watched Birdbox yet. Somehow I managed to powerhouse Russian Doll. I contemplate subscribing to Hulu because there is shit I want to watch. And yet, like a junkie I just keep adding things to Netflix that I never watch.
People all around me seem to have time to watch all sorts of TV. I don't know where my time goes. I spend a lot of time on schoolwork, house chores, writing, reading, marketing, making jewelry, more writing. Throw in a nap here or there and that is my life. But I've realized I've been doing it all wrong.
I just need executive time. I'm not sure how that works. I always thought the president had a lot of important stuff to do like talk to other leaders, work on trade deals and what not. So, maybe I should be president then I can have executive time, where I can finally watch all my shows on Netflix. Maybe I'll get Hulu while I am at it.
It sure seems the dems are going to make the mistake the GOP made in the 2016 election, too many horses in the race. So, I'll throw my hat in. I don't really have a platform, I'll just wing it. Just get me that executive time. The job comes with staff members who do everything for you except wipe your ass, or at least I hope not. But then it sure would be nice to pass that duty onto someone else.
Vote for me in 2020. I have no platform. I have no vision. Truthfully, I just want the perks. I promise not to use Twitter to make nonsense comments. I promise not to shut down the government because I will be too busy watching TV. That's honesty, right? People want honesty, and here I'm being honest.
Vote for me in 2020. You've got nothing to lose. You've got nothing to gain either. I am slowly turning into an anarchist. How fun would that be? An anarchist atheist and throw in Antichrist in there as well for the most fun.

Election Day- A Federal Holiday?
There's a lot of talk about making Election Day a federal holiday. Let's get this straight I am all for more people voting. But this is not a good idea.
It only benefits a small section of the population: anyone who has off on federal holidays. This will never include people who work in the service industries. Like other federal holidays, it will just become a sale day like President's day and Martin Luther King Jr Day.
And what about primaries? Every damn state has different primary days. So I guess those elections don't count. Why would they anyway? It's the only way for incumbents to stay in the race.
You want to make elections more accessible to those who want and legally can vote?
More machines. There is NO REASON why people should have to wait one, two, three hours to vote. Precincts need more voting machines. My precinct has 4 and they are crammed into a tiny church basement at some tiny church town. Luckily I went down right after the polls opened but it was already getting busy with the before work crowd. There needs to be poll workers to accommodate more voting machines.
If absentee balloting is available, use resources to actually tell voters. Many people don't even know they have options.
And of course, there is always extending the voting hours, especially in larger populated areas. Voting should only take a few minutes but every election we see stories about people waiting hours to vote. Making it a federal holiday won't accomplish anything.

Reboots
The other day I watched the pilot of Roswell, the reboot of the original series from the 90's, and just like the new Charmed, it was lacking any of the qualities of the original shows. Reboots, of course, are not new. I would assume producers are looking for easy money. Why not reboot Charmed and Roswell because they were popular with Gen X and older millennials so why not remake those former fans will watch with their kids.
I am left wondering, why reboot anything at all. It seems like every reboot I see is terrible. Maybe I am just nostalgic. And Hollywood needs to make money. This is why Disney makes nine million of the same series with their recent acquisition of more superheroes. You can be sure that there will be Spider 926. There are more CSI's then one can count. Everything feels the same. Of course, they are popular because the masses eat this stuff up.
Doesn't anyone want anything new anymore instead of the same old recycled crap? If you ever read Feed MT Anderson, the main character talks about the same bland toys his little brother plays with. I haven't subscribed to cable in more than a decade because everything is always the same.
There are thousands of writers with unique stories and screenplays and are passed because no one wants to take a chance. Everyone wants the sure thing.
Anyway, aren't you all tired of the same old same old in entertainment options?

Let's Build that Wall If...
We build a wall along EVERY single border that the United States has.
Why stop at the southern border? Aren't we just sick of the Canadians coming over to this country with ideas of healthcare and paid leave? Working over here?
And Alaska... Sarah Palin says she can see Russia from her house. If that isn't reason enough to build a wall all around Alaska, I don't know what is.
Fortify islands with 30-foot walls on the Hawaiian Beaches, Gaum, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
East coast, west coast and the Gulf of Mexico is also vulnerable. Build a giant wall along the beaches. Including Mar a Lago.
If we are going to do it, might as well do it right.
We are told that there is no money for universal health care but money can be found for a wall.
We are told the military needs equipment but there is a lot of junk we don't use.
But...
But what about the people who originally come in on work or student visas and never leave? What about the ones who come by airplane and never leave? What about the people hiding in boats and sail across the Pacific. Or those who come hiding in tractor trailers and trucks right under Border Patrol's watch?
Tell me how does a wall stop those people?
So if he wants the wall around the southern border then wall the entire country. It only makes sense.
Maybe once we are done with those walls. Each state can build their own wall.
Sounds wasteful and stupid, doesn't it? Yeah, that's the point.

Wednesday Morning
It's funny, I wrote blog post on the to-do list and then I open up Blogger and all of sudden I have no idea what to write. There's plenty to write. So let's do a roundup
Yesterday, I finished reading The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. This is one of my favorite novels with The Great Gatsby and Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison. I had to read it for my gender and literature class. There is something quite timely about this quote, "We lived, as usual, by ignoring. Ignoring isn't the same as ignorance, you have to work at it."
I don't normally buy into conspiracy theories but a caravan of people is coming from Honduras or some other place well below Mexico and they are going to cross into the US. Well if they all make it here. I am just wondering if there is something more going on. Something more we don't know. As if someone or a bunch of someones organized this. I get their living conditions are shit, but I really feel like there is something more to the story.
I love fall but this fall is lacking all that splendor. I also love the wind of fall. How it blows the leaves around the road and the snapping chill in the air.
Well that should be enough for one night. I am off to make a poem for Pinterest. Look at me being all productive.

The Shit I Think About
The other day while scrolling through Facebook, it seemed like a bunch of different bunch of pages posted an article about we don't have much longer until we reach the point of no return when it comes to global warming. I know one thing, I am still mowing the grass and the mosquitos are still biting, and I live in Pennsylvania and it is already the second week of October. I also know when I was a small kid in the 80's there was a lot more snow on the ground around Christmas. I also know when I first moved to my hamlet in the mountains, there was a lot more snow in the winter. Something is changing. Sure, I believe we are contributing to climate change at a faster rate. But I feel overwhelmed like recycling won't make much of a difference anymore.
I am in an apocalypse kick. I often think about what if war came to the US. Mexico has a new president. What better way to build your economy then by war? It worked for the US. And as a country, we're an arrogant bunch. Who's to say Mexico isn't planning to invade the border? Would they have a chance? Who knows. Maybe they should.
I read an article about Scott Wagner, the GOP candidate for governor. He went on rant finishing with telling Wolf to wear a mask because he is going to smash his face in with golf spikes. Of course, he meant it metaphorically. Such a delightful metaphor. Sure, he's got his freedom of speech. But, I guess I expect a certain kind of behavior with an elected official. What f he was a democrat man? A Democrat woman? The red snowflakes would be crying their tears all over the internet. Of course, if it was a woman, she would be ragging or hysterical. But a man does it, then cool. He's fucking awesome. When are we the people going to demand public officials act like adults not big boys in big boy pants?
This is the shit I think about it when it finally feels like fall and ready for anarchy.
Till next time...

1982- A Blast of Awesomeness
Hey all, Great news! I have found a calendar from 1982 that details my awesome life when I was..
two.
What makes this discovery even more amazing is that I have lived in more than twenty places since I was two, maybe more. I lived in three states. I lost a little bag of treasures somewhere in my dad's apartment when I was nine and never saw it again. But somehow I have this calendar.
It was great to look at the busy life I had. Napping, Sesame Street, Potty Training, Scooby Doo, terrorizing the cats, annoying the 'rents. Start again. Everyday for all whole year. Yet, I was diligent and made sure to write in my activities either as I was doing them or planning for the next day.
I can't believe the paper quality. It looks like it was just unwrapped from the cellophane. At 36 years of age, the calendar is in amazing condition. The Smithsonian should pick it up as part of an 80's nostalgia thing. It's a bank calendar from a bank that was gobbled up by a larger bank maybe fifteen years ago.
Attached to the calendar is a floppy disc (5.25, the real thing) with a faded label written in crayon "calendar 82". Now I just need to find me a computer with a floppy drive and a dot matrix printer. I was toddling toddler of two and already knew that I was destined for greatness and kept accurate records of my life.
Because you guys are awesome, you can relive my glory days with me. Send me $10, and I will send you a dot matrix print out of my 1982 calendar. The money won't be used for anything good but to make me richer.

Winning with Tariffs
I read the other day, the president wants to add more tariffs to Chinese made goods. To be honest, economics make me want to vomit. But bear with me as I try to understand how this "winning."
As I understand it we have a capitalist society. Business's number one goal is to make money, more profits. It is not centered around the worker but profit. Capitalists must have consumers to sell goods and services. And as a country, we don't really make things anymore. Because profit is the number one goal, the reason why companies outsource labor and buy foreign materials is because it is cheaper. America also has more worker laws than places like China. Most of our materials come from other places. Profit first.
This includes me, I buy beads and pendants which are made in China. I have been skipping the middleman and buying directly from China. The hemp I use comes from an American seller, but it is made in Ukraine. Remember business is about profit, so when a tariff is slapped on a product, who pays the price? We do. Will this encourage corporations to open shop back up in the US? No, because even with the tariff, people don't want to pay for American workers to earn a fair wage. They probably don't even want to pay the federal minimum wage. So it is still cheaper to have products made in another country and pass the tariff to the consumer. We're not going into the whole debate on fair wages.
In America, we're all about consumerism and materialism. We buy and buy, this how we have been as a country since the end of WWII. And China will retaliate. But the question is will it hurt them? Not a chance, there are plenty of more countries to trade with. Does China need American dollars? No, America needs to China to keep creating inexpensive goods so we can use and throw away.
As a country in the world, we are too deeply involved with cheap labor and consumerism the only thing tariffs will hurt are the people who are supposed to buy, buy.
Someone tell me how this a good thing so I can celebrate too.

Dear Democrat Party
You call me on the phone about once a month asking if I would donate money. I politely decline, because what I really have to say doesn't deserve to be unleashed to the person calling.
About four times a month, you send an email with a survey about how I feel what the Democrat party should focus on, and then you ask for money. And since I don't give, I really don't think you care about my survey answers.
Primary Day is May 15, 2018 in Pennsylvania. We just had a redistricting. My district was 5 and now it is 15. With a week out from Primary Day, I had no idea who my candidates are. So I found out. I am wondering what the hell do you do with the money that you raise? It sure doesn't feel like you are helping out the local candidates. Why?
With a week out, I have not seen one Facebook ad for either candidate. This is odd since I have ran Facebook ads. I like Hillary Clinton's page. So if I were running an ad, I would target Pennsylvanians who are in Glenn Thompson's district and who like Hillary Clinton and/or Bernie Sanders or Tom Wolf. Trust me it can be done, I know how to set up Facebook ads because I target certain people with my Facebook ads.
And this is why the party doesn't connect with the people in my people district. I don't have regular TV, so who knows if the candidates are running television ads. I listen to Pandora, and there are no ads on there either.
It seems as though the Democrat Party cares only about presidential elections, and the superstars of the party like Nancy Pelosi or Elizabeth Warren (no offence just an observation). I believe the real power of the government lies within the people (idealistic I know. It is a fancy facade that we built this country on, but means nothing now).
I hear this talk about a Blue Wave, and where I live which is blue collar who overwhelming vote red- I don't see this happening. Perhaps the party just doesn't care about us, here in the center of Pennsylvania flanked by two major cities. And you wonder why people feel left out. It is because we are. If you focus on two major issues that face us here in 15 and other districts like ours, you will see people vote Democrat. Raise the god damn minimum wage and get healthcare under control. You either go all in with universal health care, or you bring the costs down. Either way low wages and high healthcare is what the people care about right here.
For folks who live in the new District 15 (formerly district 5). Here are the Democrat candidates running for District 15 Susan Boser, who labels herself as a progressive candidate, and Wade Jodun, in addition to Democrat ideals, he is for a strong military. I wasn't paid by either candidate to provide this information.
And to make it fair, the incumbent for District 15 is Glenn Thompson, he is a Republican who has been in office since 2008.
I strongly believe that voter apathy is because the government no longer works like it should. I know I contribute to this because I never voted in a primary. I will vote next Tuesday for one of the two Democrats. We all need to vote. In the primaries and the main election, all the time. Because this is supposed to be our government.

What the Fuck?
It's been more than a week since I written... and a lot has happened so many things have gone on. All I have to say is What the fuck?
First, Trump wants to give SNAP recipients food boxes instead of EBT payment because it would save money? Reading many of the comments, I just have to scratch my head and think WHAT THE FUCK
Why do so many people hate poor people and people on SNAP? Popular comments: Lobster. Well I don't know about you, but my local grocery stores don't carry lobster. The one offers lobster certain times of the year, you have to preoder and it is cooked, and because a rotisserie chicken is not covered then neither is steamed lobster. I have seen lobster tails go for about $5 a piece, not cheap like Ramen but not exactly expensive either. Steak. Well many grocery stores have sales, I often can buy steak for $4 a pound on sale. I guess SNAP people shouldn't buy stuff on sale.
Some people who get SNAP: Many hourly Walmart workers, military families, working poor. Which means that these people probably also have to pay for food because they are not getting thousands of dollars in SNAP.
I worked at Walmart and sure SNAP people would get snack and soda. Many and I mean many are getting cheap processed food like : On Cor family dinners typically run $2-3 a box and come in several flavors, canned pasta, canned soups, Ramen noodles, processed meats like hot dogs, chicken nuggets and patties. Oh that is so healthy, but cheap so that food is okay. Facebook commentors all say the same thing until a military wife says she used SNAP to buy steaks because her husband was coming home and the tone changes. If you are going to shit on SNAP users then shit on all of them.
Speaking of military- Congress wants to beef the defense budget and how much is actually going to pay increases for service people? Not enough not to be SNAP users. Gosh, here in America, we loves our military so much until they want a pay increase.
On February 15, 2018 there was another mass shooting. Some 19 year old dip shit got himself an AR 15 and killed 17 people and injured many others. WHAT THE FUCK Why is this even common place? Why do we still have military grade weapons available to any Tom, Dick or Jane. But at least the dipshit got to exercise his rights to buy a semiautomatic. It is unfortunate those 17 no longer have a right to life.
WHAT THE FUCK is wrong with people? Why is this okay? Inaction is pretty much saying it is okay.
Okay, this country pisses me off. It should piss you off. This how we treat each other? This how we became a world leader? Go on tell me to move, because I don't give a fuck. Stand back and take a look at the world around and really see it for what it is. And maybe your rosy colored glasses will fall off.
Till next time...

And the Federal Government Closes Down
When I ask who is to blame, what is the answer?
The GOP?
The Dems?
Trump?
Actually, it is all of us. We put these fucktards in office. We don't vote out people who has been politics longer than the Price is Right. Most of us don't vote in the primaries. Most of us vote in party lines, always. Look who is putting party before country?
We voted people who do not work with a person with a different point of view. All I hear is whining and crying and carrying on- like a daycare.
So what are we going to do about? It is obvious neither party gives a shit about most of us. So why do we keep voting them in?
How about we vote in our respective primaries and vote out incumbents. And if you don't have a choice, then come November vote out incumbents- even if they are from a different party. I am tired old party politics from both sides. We need a government reset.

Educate Me- Birth Control
What is about birth control that gets people riled up? You would think women who control when they want children is a good thing.
Recently, the president rolled back a rule that required employers' insurance to cover birth control. Just birth control. Now any company can opt out of that coverage for their employees because of a moral or religious issue. Google Hobby Lobby.
A common comment on any news article is "Pay for your own birth control."
This is where I am confused. We are talking about employers' health insurance coverage.
As I understand, insurance works as a pool of money. You and your employer pay the health insurance company and they pay for certain medical care. It's a not a pool based on your employer but everyone enrolled in particular health insurance company. So really, just because the employer has some kind of asinine objection, everyone still pays into the pool where some woman is getting birth control.
How about an example:
XY Corp offers health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield. We all know how big Blue Cross is. But XY Corp has a moral objection to birth control and opts out of coverage. Yet, down the road AB Corp doesn't and also offers Blue Cross Blue Shield to its employees. In reality, XY Corp is still paying money into a pool of money that help's pay for birth control. The whole "religious" or "moral" objection doesn't really stand.
Another thing, I see a lot of why people have these objections, God's will.
So it's God's will for pregnancies but it's not God's will for:
-erectile dysfucntion
-cancer
-depression
-PTSD
-Black lung
-high blood pressure
-etc.
Tell me how this makes sense? Why is it okay to go against "God" and take medicine for other issues? But not okay to take "The Pill?" If someone uses that reason, then the only health insurance one needs is God.
Last thought....
If you have insurance chances are you paying for someone's birth control. She is paying for your Viagra. You are paying for someone's poor life choices or for someone's run of bad luck. That's how insurance works.

What's Important Right Now
All day today, Facebook has been blowing up with something so earth-shattering important. Really it is- whether or not professional football players stand or take a knee for the national anthem.
How the fuck is this more important than, I don't know
NORTH FUCKING KOREA?
On Facebook, there are many shares or posts that are right down the middle. Either the NFL players are scumbag heathens, or they are in the right. Some of my friends are going to boycott the NFL. Wow... so powerful. So effective.
Maybe it's time to stop the hero worship of male athletes anyway.
My thought is about the football players, I don't give a crap and neither should you (they have every right to do it) because, did I mention
FUCKING NORTH KOREA?
Maybe I'm paranoid, I don't take this shit going on between the US and North Korea as a joke. I wasn't alive during the 60's and Bay of Pigs, but from what I gather- It was important; it was scary.
Here we are in 2017 and there seems to be this arrogant sense with many people in this country that Americans are infallible. And this is untrue.
Oh by the way, Puerto Rico is in horrible shape since Hurricane Maria slaughtered the island. This is actually more important than football players, because these people are Americans and something bad happened to them.
But holy fuck, let's get bent of shape about football players and the national anthem.
Get your damn priorities straight and worry about matters....
PUERTO RICO
FUCKING NORTH KOREA
Until next time...

My Thoughts on Stupid News Items from Hurricane Harvey
Probably like most of you, I am sitting in the sidelines watching various communities from Texas come together to save each other, their pets, their horses and cattle. I am amazed at the amount of water that got dumped in the area. I am amazed at a picture of a flooded highway that had waves.
I wonder what those people are thinking. I wonder how I would be thinking if I was in that situation. I really don't have words.
As my Facebook feed is flooded with acts of heroism and stories of humanity, there is also news stories that are not worth anytime. The first one is....
Melania Trump's shoes. Here's something: Her shoes should not matter to anyone. I don't care what kind of spin someone would put on it they are not important. I, for one, do not give a shit about what shoes she wore. No one else should either. You know what's important... the people affected by the storm, information about the storm, first responders, local and state government officials talking about the storm and humanitarian aid. That is what is important. I often defend the media, but not this time.
The second one is the former University of Tampa professor who said Harvey was karma for Texas supporting DT. And this is for him, Ken Storey.
You are a piece of shit, and I don't say that often. What does a hurricane have to do with politics? It doesn't. PEOPLE DO NOT DESERVE TO SUFFER. What you are saying is because Texas went to DT that children, non-voters, illegals, Dem voters, GOP voters get to suffer from devastating hurricane and flooding because of the election? That makes no fucking sense to me. And what about the millions of people around the world who suffer? They didn't vote for or care about DT. The Douche Bag 2017 award goes to you.
Till next time...

Let's Talk About Race
I have spent the last few days trying to figure out how to write what I think about "race" relations in this country.
The title of this blog post is useless but effective.
Race as we know it in this country and probably others is a social construct. We are part of one race the human race. This includes all people of all skin colors. Physically, our differences are small. As a species we have the least amount of genetic variation.
People whom hate "others" will more than likely not change. It doesn't matter what you say or how many studies you throw at them. Or how much you condemn them. They are set in their beliefs. Fine, let the racist dinosaurs die out.
Relations between people of different skin colors suck in this country. And I have been thinking of ideas on how to make things better. I can't think of any. I heard about restitution. I don't think it will solve anything, it sure won't solve the deep seated issues.
As horrible it is, America's history is dotted with European conquest of people of different skin colors and culture. The Spanish converted native populations in the Southwest, Mexico and South American. Other European cultures eradicated, killed, moved millions of natives on America's mainland. And of course, millions of Africans were brought against their will to be slaves. We all know this or at least I hope so.
And still I have no idea how to solve our social problem. I am not worried about ISIS. I am worried about us, and how we are fighting against each other. As the saying goes: United We Stand, Divided We Fall. We need each other.
Please tell me what you think this country can do to be united and equal for all people regardless of skin color.
Till next time...

Nukes are not Toys
Nukes are not toys.
You don't get to slap plutonium or uranium in a missile and release it like caged fireflies.
If you want to rule the world, what is the sense of destroying it? Even you, are not immune on the surface.
Power is an addiction, a desire, always sought but never fully attained. And those nukes, are nothing but the checkmate for the world. On August 6, 1945 the United States dropped an a bomb on Hiroshima. On August 9, 1945 the United States dropped an a bomb on Nagasaki. Both in Japan. Both are shameful events. They happened. There are dozens of pictures if the world needs a refresher on the damage.
History is supposed to be a reminder where we went wrong as a human race so we don't make the same mistake twice. Yet, selective history is the only thing you see through a warped lens.
In 2017, I thought, believed, we as a world moved beyond nuclear weapons. But I guess not because power, dominion, is more important than anything else.
Nuclear weapons are not toys and you don't get to play God, because God isn't real and the only thing you are doing is feeding grand delusions of greatness. When in reality you are nothing but a name and a face in front of the world's cameras.

Opinions on Nothing
Everyone has an opinion. I figure in this day and age, I could be a pundit of some sorts. My opinions are worth just about as much as everyone else's. Today, I am going to share some opinions. And I think it would be cool to have my words as a meme. So have it....
Illegal Immigration
*One thing that irks me is when I read comments on illegal immigration and someone will write something to the effect "if there were no illegal immigrants in the fields, your produce will be more expensive." So I guess it is okay to pay the illegal immigrant substandard wages so you can have cheaper produce. These are the same people who want a higher minimum wage
English Tests
* Literacy is power. For every person who comes to this country not speaking English, they could seriously screw themselves over. There is a certain amount of trust when someone translates for you. When you can read and understand the language, you have power to make your own informed decisions. I think the skills test is useless and a waste of money. If I were to move to Mexico, I better know Spanish because I know I could get screwed over.
The same can be said with native Americans who have low literacy skills or illiterate. I know there are some people who just can't learn. And there are others who can. Literacy is power. Know and understand the language and you will know and understand your rights.
Religion
*I don't trust any theocratic government.
* There is no war on Christmas. It is war on Yule.
Random Garbage
* I love when there is a severe thunderstorm warning. I love the dark skies and the reverberating thunder and when the power goes out. Lately, thunderstorms at home have been boring.
* I don't know why but I have been fascinated with The Philadelphia Experiment. I have been doing some reading about the guy Al or whatever. And his future map is interesting.
*Love him or hate him, I believe Donald Trump is the harbinger for the true American Renaissance. In Europe, there were Dark Ages marked by religious fervor and the crusades. Then the Renaissance came about, or the age enlightenment, where science and art flourished. I see a pattern, and I am looking forward to our American Renaissance.
* Why is it in space we can be BFF's with Russia? I would like America and Russia to get along because we have a joint enemy. I will not mention this regime by name because maybe I am a little paranoid, but if you follow the news, you can figure out. All I am going to say is I wish there no such thing as nuclear warheads.
*Am I only the one who thinks it would be great if Twitter went silent for an hour?
* Driving down the mountain to State College, I see the most bizarre thing. There is a mailbox and on the mailbox there is a campaign flier for Trump, underneath it is another sign that says "greed kills jobs."
And what are your opinions? Till next time...

What the Hell is Going on in the White House
In case you missed it, there is crazy shit coming from the president.
No need to rehash all the wackiness. I don't want this to be insulting to those who voted for him, but how can anyone still stand behind him? I was never a fan, but one thing I always said was DT's downfall would be Twitter. It will be his own doing. First, let's talk voter records....
I am guessing the whole reason why DT's committee wants voter records is to find fraud. Okay fine. I get that and for some reason we have a shit load of money to do this but whatever. Let me save you the trouble....
In 1998, I registered to vote as a Republican. In 2000, I voted for Al Gore for president. In 2004, I voted GW Bush. 2008 and 2012, I voted for Obama. Before going any further I changed party affiliations twice in this time. I was independent then I switched to Democrat before the 2008 primaries . I voted for Hillary in the primaries. In 2016, I voted for Hillary Clinton. I have lived in PA since I was 17 years old and I have not lived in another state since turning 18.
My father in law was a registered voter. He no longer shows up in the log book. I would know since my father in law, my brother in law and myself live in the same precinct. When I sign the book to show I was there (yes, I physically have to sign. I also have my ID ready. However, the people there only ID me once, the first time I voted in that precinct. The same people are always there). I always notice my brother in law has not been in. I also know my father in law's name is not there because he is passed away in 2010. I know this because his name will come right before mine.
Funny someone did their job and removed him from the rolls. Unless of course they have a secret book where they keep the all dead names and vote. Pennsylvania is a swing state and this year, the state went overwhelming to DT. Not exactly sure where there is fraud. I guess maybe he didn't get enough votes in our state. I don't know.
THERE IS NO WAR ON CHRISTMAS
What the fuck? Are there people who really believe this? Christmas is a federal holiday. Almost everything is closed except for a couple of gas stations and the movie theaters. When I was kid everything was closed. Where does this idea come from?
Scientists say Jesus WAS NOT born on December 25. The Christian church made it that day because of Yule. And the church was looking for converts. Evergreen, Santa, and all the other stuff is pagan. I would guess what most us celebrate are Yule traditions.
So really it is war on Yule. So maybe this year, I should stay HAPPY MOTHERFUCKING YULE as opposed to Merry Christmas.
And I would also assume if Jesus's birth was so important to practicing Christians then this fake war on Christmas means nothing to them because they know their relationship with Jesus. They do not need to be told Merry Christmas to keep their faith alive. Why would they feel insulted if they were not wished a Merry Christmas? It shouldn't matter either way.
Enough said for one day...

What is it About Healthcare
The internet is an uproar about the AHCA that barely passed the US House yesterday. It bothers me too. Because you know what I see? I see 435 people who can't work together and only want to pass party agenda. How did it get this point. The senate isn't any better. Chances are this bill won't pass the senate because there is not enough votes. I know Casey will not vote for it and Toomey will because he is a sheep. Actually they are both sheep.
My congressman, Glenn Thompson, said that he voted for it because he wanted healthcare that works for all Americans. That is funny because this new plan DOESN'T. Neither did Obamacare. It was flawed. I understand the price of what some people have to pay for their premiums and their deductibles and it is not right.
I don't care how much the big insurance companies cry about their loss of profit, even though they are still pulling in billions of dollars in profits. And if you think that your premium will go down if this is passed, you are sorely mistaken. Because looking at it from their view point, you are already paying for it then you will continue to do so. It will also make up for all those who drop their plan because of expense.
If this bill is passed, it will directly affect my parents who are in their late 50's and early 60's. It will directly affect me. So I think about it. If I lost my insurance, then I would have to pay more should I get it again.
Not that I hold a lot of stock on what DT says because I think he doesn't know what he is saying half the time, he did say healthcare for everyone. I really wanted to believe that. I really did. But just like most things out of DC it is a pile of steaming shit.
I also love how so many people are rejoicing because they believe their premiums will go down (they won't, because the CEO needs his fourth Lamborghini). And how the lazy, poor people will just back to the ER, which by the way costs more to the taxpayer.
Please tell me, why are some of you so afraid of universal healthcare? Afraid of communism? Afraid of socialism? Afraid of losing your freedoms? Well with the new religious liberty act, only one group apparently has religious freedom and those are the Christians and the rest of just pay taxes for the supposed greater good.
For some reason we have a ton of money to make nukes, you know because that is so important. But we can't do universal healthcare. Our priorities are fucked up. But what do I know? I am just one of millions of people that is ignored by our representative.
Dear Glenn Thompson, News Flash!!!! People want healthcare. They also want it affordable. They want to go to the doctor's without worrying about medical bills. I don't know why you got into office because it seems like you do nothing for anyone in our district. I am one of those people that used to go the ER for something simple like bronchitis because I didn't have insurance. You think I am the only one? Why not visit some of your rural areas and ask them what they did before the ACA. How many of us used the ER as our only place to get medical care. How many women had a gynecology exam, perhaps their first one in years because of the ACA? How many people are living better lives. Since you don't make an appearance in the district, then you have no idea. Just like your cohorts in congress, none of you have an idea of what the people want. I know it doesn't matter, because some how in 2018, you will still get elected but it won't be because of my vote.
